Local first. Sync when you want it.
ASMAE does not require an account for basic local use. Google login is optional and enables cross-device synchronization.
Without login
Saved items and app progress can remain in the browser or device’s local storage. This supports private, low-friction use without creating an account.
With login
When sync is enabled, ASMAE uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore to synchronize supported saved items and app-state progress across devices.
Logout behavior
Logging out disables sync, stops Firestore listeners, clears the device’s saved My Path item cache, signs out web authentication, and tells the Flutter shell to sign out its native session. Cloud data is not deleted by logout.
ASMAE’s sync system is opt-in. A remote Firestore snapshot updates local state without echoing the same snapshot back as a redundant write.
